3 ways to avoid donating money
Well Christmas, the season for giving, is just around the corner. Therefore, there will be loads of people lurking around shopping malls and other unexpected places where they will pop out and expect you to donate money to em for whatever reason it may be etc.donation, funding some pointless project, scamming you. If you want to have enough money to spend on gifts for your loved ones, save up for the bumpy road of the recent financial recession, are a miser, sick of donating or are just plain cold hearted. Here are some tips from me, Shaun, the brilliant genius of all things weird and wacky on how to escape from these monetary predators.
The following tips are listed based on their rank in ascending order. Ranks are given according to usefulness, realisticness and practicality.
Note: It is important to say the following lines early and rush off quickly. Success isn't guaranteed if you let the 'beggar' say any more words. The more the 'beggar' says, the higher the probability that you will give him money. Remember the formula. More words said = Higher chance to persuade you. Eg. The beggar could say his parents died or children from some place are dying and he needs money to blablabla and that would touch your heart and persuade you to donate money to him or some charitable organisation. So its best not to hear and walk off before he has a chance to say it. It's better to know less.
3. "I don't want to give you money you *insert profanities*!!!
Least recommended and should only be used as a last resort as it will most likely make the person go mad and in the worst case scenario will chase you with a parang till kingdom come. Besides it will spoil the person's mood and ruin his day. Spare a thought will ya since you cant spare him money.
2."I have no money."
A good excuse. But what prevents this from being the top excuse is due to the fact that good acting skills are required to make it fully effective. Saying this with a straight face and serious tone is needed to pull it off. Failure to do so will result in more persistance from the 'beggar' who knows you are obviously lying(IF your acting skills are bad) in an attempt to persuade you to give him money. Never EVER show him your wallet to persuade him that you really have no money (unless you really don't) cos it will really embarass you and you might just have to end up using excuse number 3.
1. "Sorry, I'm in a rush."
This is by far the best excuse I have used in my experience. The 'beggar' most likely won't pester you to donate anymore. No acting skills are required to pull this one off successfully as it is very realistic in this fast paced world that you could be late for something. It is also short, sweet and easy to remember.

Selfish humans
These few days during the hols there seems to be some stupid donation thingy at various shopping centres. You know, the ones with a red bucket with 2 people standing there ringing bells asking to donate. Forgot the charity's name.
Come on, don't try to act like you really care about those poor kids dying in Africa or something like that. If we really did care then there would be no food shortages in the world and stuff like that. Seriously, look at how much money celebs and sportmen get. Celebs can get over way 100k for just guest starring for an episode and few millions for acting a movie. Sportsmen like soccer players get paid alot too just for playing a match which at the most just lasts 1h30min.
And where does that money come from? We,the lunatical fans, who attend the games. We,the TV/movie viewers, who watch celebs acting. PEOPLE WOULD RATHER PAY FOR ENTERTAINMENT THEN SAVE/IMPROVE THE LIVES OF OTHERS. Thats how selfish we are. Think about it. If we really did care and poured all our money into helping needy people instead of into the entertainment and sports industry and fueling the ever bloating egos of up and coming celebes. We could easily end it all in less than a month or even a week.
